Fernando Gago, who came from the youth divisions of the club, made his professional debut with Boca in a 1 - 0 victory over Quilmes, on December 5 2004 with the age of 17.
Despite his youth, Gago quickly became an essential part of the Boca Juniors´ midfield, and is considered a talented player, often compared with his fellow countryman Fernando Redondo.
